Dates unlock at 85%. Below that you’d be touring on hope.
Two-way. The house screens you; you can interrupt at any point.
Wren isn’t here. She runs every other screen in the product and steps off this one entirely so the house can speak. Her absence is the design decision.
The house asks first. It checks whether you actually want the consequences of what you said you wanted. A house doing due diligence on the buyer has standing — which is what makes the confession later land as trust rather than a warning label.
The voice arcs. Flirtatious at the match, probing in the middle, candid at the end. Honesty from something that was charming costs it something. Honesty from something that opened with a disclaimer costs it nothing.
Time passes. The scrim moves morning → midday → golden → dusk as the date runs. You are spending time here, not reading a listing.
Ask anything, any time. The bar stays live through every turn — a date where only one party asks questions is an interview.
The 85% gate reintroduces the percentage the report deliberately drops. It reads well and it drifts upward under product pressure. Safer as a display label over the 4/4 + 8/11 count underneath it.
